Chinasat 6B Satellite Takes off

According to China's Xinhua News, ChinaSatcom's Chinasat 6B satellite, a broadcasting satellite made by French Alcatel Alenia Space, has blasted off on July 5, 2007 from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan province, southern China. With an expected life span of 15 years, this launch is expected to improve the quality of TV broadcasting service across Asia, the Pacific and Oceania regions.
